Lovin' the new year!

I'm keeping this one short and sweet!  So I started my new job yesterday with Bank of America, and I'm tired! Gonna be hitting the bed earlier than I was used to for the last 8 months :) I am so thankful to be working again, and a special thanks to my family and friends that have been praying for me over this period of time as well.  Dylan took me out to dinner last night to celebrate my first day of work; he's really the best boyfriend EVER!  I love him for loving me!

Caught up with one of my best friends tonight as well.  JaneAnn and I got to chat it up for awhile this evening-isn’t it always refreshing to just sit and talk with an old friend?  I love her so much and miss her a lot…a bunch…a ton!

Tonight April, one of my roommates, and I watched my beloved American Idol!  I'm obsessed to say the least.  Annnd, on tonight's show was an old hometown familiar face.  Dave Pittman from Mountain Home was on there for an upcoming show!  So excited to see how far he goes, hopefully we will get a chance to vote for him!  Another Arkansan on Idol, ohhh yeaahhh!! Good luck to Dave this season, wishing him the best!

That's it for me tonight!  Goodnight!

Freeeeezing Friday!

Well, it's just freezing! I woke up this morning to 2 degree weather-needless to say, I stayed in bed and slept in til 10am!!! :) Don't judge, I will be back on track come next week with the new job! I have been on "extended vacation" (as my dad likes to say) for 8 months and I may have a rough week readjusting to the working world, so I'm taking full advantage of my remainder of time off. By the way, starting at the bottom will leave me with few free Saturdays I assume-so sleeping in is necessary right now!

Anywhooo, Dylan's work decided to close down due to the weather conditions up in Rogers yesterday; he is a Park Ranger for the Army Corps of Engineers at Beaver Lake. SOOOO, we enjoyed an entire day together!  Went to Kosmos Greekafe for lunch.....mmmmm, delicious! Then on to Blockbuster to pick up Inglorious Basterds (yes, that's how it's spelled). Which was a great movie, by the way! Then we joined some friends at their house to watch the BCS National Championship. We do NOT like Texas, so were rooting for Bama all the way, glad to see the SEC win!

Not so much planned for the weekend as well, I'm sure it will be spent mostly indoors bundled up together due to the crazy cold weather-works for me though! :)
Hope ya'll have a great weekend!

Meaningful Music

Good afternoon bloggers!

So I've had a very unproductive day, considering I haven't really even left the couch (remember-I don't start working until next week).  BUT, I did work on enlarging my iTunes and updated my iPod this afternoon.  I added many songs from my two favorite genres of music: country and christian.  An afternoon of music is right up my alley though, and that is what I am blogging about today.

I am one of those crazy people who really could not live without music and have a memory or feeling about EVERY song that I hear/sing.  Today I added more songs to my christian play list and decided that I wanted to get on YouTube and share some of the videos that truly have brought me to tears over the last two years and moved me in ways that songs have never done before.  "Came to My Rescue", "From the Inside Out" and "With Everything" all by Hillsong Church in Australia are just a FEW of my favs.

Through music and worship I have found a deeper relationship with God, one that has brought me to want to read my Bible more, pray more, praise more, and LOVE.....crazy love!

I wish that I could have found a way to embed these links, but I do hope you still check them out....let me know what you think! :)  I hope you enjoy these and that they move you in someway.

In our world, be lifted high.
In our love, be lifted high Lord!

2010 Has Begun!

Okay, here I am starting a new blog for the new year! :) I have done one previously for work, but am very excited to start my first ever personal blog. I have enjoyed over the last few years learning, reading, and growing with some of my family and friends blogs....so here goes nothing. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I have enjoyed being a part of your blogging life.

This year has much in store, I can just feel it! God blessed me with a job offer on New Years Eve! That alone is a blessing that I have been praying for for 8 months. [My new job with Bank of America starts Jan. 11] New Years Eve night was then started at Brand New Church in Bergman, AR with my wonderful boyfriend, Dylan. After an amazing night of great food, amazing worship, and a kick start message into the new decade, we headed to Mountain Home (our hometown) to ring in the New Year with my folks. We had a great time!

January 1st we hit the road to see our best, and most wonderful friends-Jeff & Jenny-in Memphis, TN. The Razorbacks had made it to the Liberty Bowl there which gave us an excuse to spend time with two people we love. The weekend was all together a great time, spent with great people. Not to mention a HOG win! Woo Pig Sooie! We love the Corkrans oh-so-much and thank them for having us in their beautiful home for the weekend!

New Years Eve with my love!

Come back and see me soon :)
