Oh what at great evening my sweetheart and I have had! After a decent day at work (for a Monday), I came home to the big smiling face of my hubby sitting in front of a small mound of Valentines treats for me!
We have finally started working out again after a 4 month hiatus since the wedding :) We are back in in full force and I guess he had taken note to my complaining about hating my work out clothes-what a good listener! I really wasn't expecting the super cute workout gear he got me:
This is me posing in one of my two new outfits! Yep, that's also a my miniature rose bush he also got for me! (sorry for the not so great quality photo, Dylan took this with my phone)
After our little gift exchange we hit up the kitchen as a team! Dylan made fried deer meat and I took on biscuits and homemade brown gravy (my first time ever to make homemade gravy). It turned out absolutely delicious! Now it's movie time so I better sign off.
I'm smitten over my man tonight and hope you are with someone you love too!
It's been too long-but I'm really going to try to keep this blogging thing up! :)
Okay, so since the last time we've talked, I married my best friend and high school sweetheart (wedding blog coming soon), had a Happy Thanksgiving, an even Merrier Christmas, a HaPpY New Year....and here we are! Don't worry, I won't recap any of these except our fabulous wedding besides saying that our holiday season was just wonderful!
I decided yesterday that I was going to start blogging again, so I did some revamping on my blog and took some pictures of the record breaking snow fall we got yesterday in NW Arkansas. We really needed a yard stick to measure! It was the perfect day to stay in our warm and cozy house and begin to write about our married life.
Our sweet home in the snow!
My little birdhouse!
We received about 20 inches of snow here in Rogers---just craziness! Dylan and I played in the front yard for a bit and the snow was just above our knees!
I hope ya'll are all warm today-our snow hasn't gone anywhere yet! I promise to try to keep this up and share our life with you! Come back soon!
He says to the snow, 'Fall on the earth,'
and to the rain shower, 'Be a mighty downpour.'
So that everyone he has made may know his work,
he stops all people from their labor.
Thank you for a much needed day at home!
So I'm home this weekend.....home, sweet, Mountain Home! I absolutely LOVE being home. I love my parents, I love my family, I love my future in-laws and baby Riley! I just love home! Eventually, Dylan and I plan to end up back in Mountain Home---years from now I'm sure. A Park Ranger job would have to open up here on Lake Norfork or when babies start becoming a subject of conversation-gotta have family close by to help with that!
Anyway, I'm home this weekend on a busy, busy wedding planning schedule. We had two caterer appointments yesterday and a wine tasting at a local winery last night. We had SUCH A GOOD TIME! This wedding planning stuff is REALLY fun! And today we have two cake appointments-mmmmmmm! I absolutely, cannot wait to get married....only four months now til I'm Sarah Edwards! Yippee!
By the way, when I got into town Friday night my mom had a surprise for me: our napkins had come in!!! OMG, who knew you could be so excited about napkins; well let me tell you, I WAS! They turned out absolutely beautiful! I'm in love with my napkins-mom is doing a fabulous job with all the wedding stuff!
Gotta get ready for the day now....yes, our first appointment is at 10am-who says cake can't be eaten before noon ;)
Okay, my apologies...I've really sucked at blogging....bad! The last time I even wrote was back in January. So a LOT has happened in my life since we've last spoken. Here is the last few months in a nut shell-with pictures to help! :)

5/15: Dylan's 24th Birthday
Happy Birthday to my love....I am so in love with you!
Okay, so there it is.....busy, busy, busy and not blogging-I promise to try harder! :) Let me tell you-planning a wedding is very time consuming and it is all that I do/think about all day, everyday! 140 days from today I will be Mrs. Sarah Edwards-LOVE IT!
Until next time-
(I wrote this last nite, but my internet went out and it wouldn't post)
I'm keeping this one short and sweet! So I started my new job yesterday with Bank of America, and I'm tired! Gonna be hitting the bed earlier than I was used to for the last 8 months :) I am so thankful to be working again, and a special thanks to my family and friends that have been praying for me over this period of time as well. Dylan took me out to dinner last night to celebrate my first day of work; he's really the best boyfriend EVER! I love him for loving me!
Caught up with one of my best friends tonight as well. JaneAnn and I got to chat it up for awhile this evening-isn’t it always refreshing to just sit and talk with an old friend? I love her so much and miss her a lot…a bunch…a ton!
Tonight April, one of my roommates, and I watched my beloved American Idol! I'm obsessed to say the least. Annnd, on tonight's show was an old hometown familiar face. Dave Pittman from Mountain Home was on there for an upcoming show! So excited to see how far he goes, hopefully we will get a chance to vote for him! Another Arkansan on Idol, ohhh yeaahhh!! Good luck to Dave this season, wishing him the best!
That's it for me tonight! Goodnight!

Well, it's just freezing! I woke up this morning to 2 degree weather-needless to say, I stayed in bed and slept in til 10am!!! :) Don't judge, I will be back on track come next week with the new job! I have been on "extended vacation" (as my dad likes to say) for 8 months and I may have a rough week readjusting to the working world, so I'm taking full advantage of my remainder of time off. By the way, starting at the bottom will leave me with few free Saturdays I assume-so sleeping in is necessary right now!
Anywhooo, Dylan's work decided to close down due to the weather conditions up in Rogers yesterday; he is a Park Ranger for the Army Corps of Engineers at Beaver Lake. SOOOO, we enjoyed an entire day together! Went to Kosmos Greekafe for lunch.....mmmmm, delicious! Then on to Blockbuster to pick up Inglorious Basterds (yes, that's how it's spelled). Which was a great movie, by the way! Then we joined some friends at their house to watch the BCS National Championship. We do NOT like Texas, so were rooting for Bama all the way, glad to see the SEC win!
Not so much planned for the weekend as well, I'm sure it will be spent mostly indoors bundled up together due to the crazy cold weather-works for me though! :) Hope ya'll have a great weekend!
